Trans-Siberian Railway
Being one of
the oldest rail routes of the world, Trans-Siberian Railway connects Moscow to
Vladivostok. It is also one of the oldest rail routes of the world which was
built in 1891 by the Tsar Alexander II and was completed by his successor Tsar
Nicholas II. It was the only reason why the rail route was known as the “Route
of the Tsars”. Generally tourists reserve it for overnight accommodation from
one destination to another because of its extravagant amenities. Apart from the

Being the
heart of Russian Republic, it is heart of Russia’s capital. If you are a
photogenic, this is one of those locations on earth which you must visit to
witness the extraordinary beauty of it. Apart from the marvellous decoration,
it is the army head quarter of Russian Red Army and private chamber of Hon’ble President
of the country, Vladimir Putin. Apart from exquisite civil architecture and other

Great Russian Empire. The grand Kremlin was built in the year 1838, later it
was renovated in the 1990’s. Apart from Tsar’s private chambers there are

The Armoury Chamber

Kremlin is officially means a fortress. It was built in the ancient times for exercising
the military power all over the huge Russian Empire including the Ottoman Turks.
Now it is one of the oldest museums of Tsars and it shelters the oldest
weaponry of Tsars. The museum of Kremlin also has the royal ivory throne of ‘Ivan
the Terrible’. There are masterpiece weapons from 5th to 20th
century. There are coronation robes of the Tsarist dynasty too still placed in

Assumption Cathedral
Many of you
must have heard about the Assumption Cathedral. It is one of those ancient
places where the Tsars were crowned. It is one of the most oldest and important
church in Kremlin. It acted as a headquarters of Russian Orthodox Church from
1326. This cathedral is famous for the burial ground of some of the famous
religious characters from the church itself. The brilliant civil architecture
of the cathedral is unique enough to draw your attention within it.
Dargavs, the City of Dead
One can find
undivided peace when someone visits this ‘City Of Dead’. Rambling like a
wanderer through the deserted grotesque valleys of Dargavs would touch your
inner peace and tranquillity for sure. Since it is not a cliché location for
every tourists as one has to cross through the tough and narrow hilly roads to
reach this place, and it takes more than an hour Vladikavkaz to reach this
unusual Alanian Necropolis you can expect a calm and peaceful atmosphere over
here. The uniqueness about this unusual spot is the magnificent architecture of
this place. Built with a specific placement plan this symmetry shelters oldest
crypts which are dated back to 14th century. The roofs of the crypts
are ridged and curved. The crypts are built serially in a descending order. The
walls are made of stone blocks which are mostly made of lime or clay.
If you plan
to visit this place try to reach here by the dawn to see the mysterious
Gizeldon River that drains through the northern glaciers of Mount Kazbek, (a
dormant volcano) and flows through this valley of dead. If you are
superstitious about myth, then it is better to leave the place before dusk, as
there is a rumour within the localites of this place that no one dares to walk
inside the crypts of the symmetry as they never come back alive.
Mount Elbrus
Located in
the Caucusus Mountain range in southern Russia, Mount Elburus attains a height
of 5,642 metres, (18,510 feet) approx. This place is the most adventurous location
for every trekkers for whom mountaineering is a passion, as it is one of the
planet’s seven summits. It is the nexus of every kind of adventure sports
because it is formed from a dormant volcano. Located near the Georgian border,
the mountain prides to be the tenth prominent peak of the world.
St. Petersburg
A visit to
St. Petersburg is must if you are visiting Russia. It is one of those

destroy them completely. The devastative war had completely destroyed the
building, later it was renovated and restored for bringing the heritage in its
